wedding sneak peek

This is a sneak peek of our wedding invitation which I've hand drawn and passed over to Lorna from e.y.i love to work her magic and turn it into something beautiful. It's a mish-mash of different motifs and styles but I think it gives an indication of the type of day it'll be, full of whimsy, charm and fun! I've got my heart set on gold foil text on brightly coloured backgrounds and drew some inspiration from this postcard from paperchase. I picked out, with Lorna's help and advice, some lovely "cotton" textured paper and she has some great ideas for the rsvp cards and a quirky map and directions card. Can't wait to see it all finished!

Cake Dressing

Nicole & Drew got married in Las Vegas and then had their reception in Glasgow's private members club 29. Ross Baxter, Head Pastry Chef of Michael Caines Fine Dinning Restaurant was commissioned to create an amazing three tiered cake with layers of chocolate mousse and almond sponge with a white chocolate glaze and white macarons. Ross asked me to add the finishing touches and tie in the cake decor and table dressing  with Nicole's wedding dress & 1950's theme.
